2. Information we collect

Depending on how a person deals with Fit-Check Seven, the business may collect:

  • name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses;
  • order, payment-status, delivery, cancellation, return and refund records;
  • messages, complaints, photographs and information supplied about an item being bought or offered for sale;
  • limited payment information received from the payment provider, but not complete card details;
  • website request data such as IP address, browser or device type, time, requested page and security events; and
  • marketing preferences and consent records, if direct marketing is introduced.

Information may be received directly, through the checkout, through Instagram or Facebook, from a payment provider, or from delivery and fraud-prevention providers involved in an order.

3. Why we use it

Contract

To take payment, fulfil and deliver orders, handle returns or refunds, answer pre-contract questions and assess items offered to Fit-Check Seven.

Legal obligation

To keep accounting and tax records, honour consumer rights, respond to lawful requests and meet data-protection duties.

Legitimate interests

To operate and secure the website, prevent fraud, maintain service records, resolve complaints, understand business performance and establish or defend legal claims. These interests will be balanced against the individual’s rights.

Consent

For optional marketing or non-essential cookies where consent is required. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Fit-Check Seven does not currently operate an email-marketing list on this preview website.

4. Who receives it

Personal information may be shared only where necessary with:

  • Cloudflare for website delivery and security;
  • Google Fonts, which currently supplies website font files;
  • Stripe when online payment is introduced;
  • the selected postal or courier provider;
  • Meta where a person contacts Fit-Check Seven through Instagram or Facebook;
  • accountants, professional advisers, IT providers and fraud-prevention services; and
  • courts, regulators, law enforcement or public authorities where disclosure is required or lawful.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Before launch, Fit-Check Seven must confirm those locations and ensure any restricted transfer uses an applicable adequacy decision or legally recognised safeguard.

Fit-Check Seven does not sell personal information.

5. How long we keep it

  • Order, payment, refund and core accounting records are expected to be kept for six years after the end of the relevant financial period, or longer where law or a live dispute requires it.
  • General enquiries and unsuccessful item-sale enquiries should be deleted when no longer needed, normally within 24 months of the last meaningful contact.
  • Complaint, fraud and legal-claim information may be retained until the applicable claim period has expired.
  • Marketing records will be kept until consent is withdrawn or the contact becomes inactive, with a minimal suppression record retained where needed to respect an opt-out.

These periods must be confirmed against the client’s actual bookkeeping and customer-service processes before launch. Information will be securely deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

6. Cookies & website data

The current preview does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies or use browser storage for site navigation.

Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security, load-balancing or network technologies. The site also requests font files from Google Fonts, which means the visitor’s browser connects to Google. Links to Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps do not load those services until the visitor chooses to follow a link.

Before Stripe, analytics, embedded social content, advertising tools or other optional technologies are added, this section must be updated. Any non-essential cookie or similar technology requiring consent must remain disabled until the visitor has made a clear choice. Strictly necessary checkout or security technology should still be explained.

7. Your data rights

Depending on the purpose and lawful basis, individuals may have rights to:

  • ask for access to their personal information;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask for information to be erased or its use restricted;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests and always object to direct marketing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis.

These rights are not all absolute. Fit-Check Seven may need to retain some information to comply with law or deal with a legal claim. Identity may be checked before a request is fulfilled.

8. Contact & complaints

Privacy questions and rights requests should be sent to the privacy email required before launch or posted to Fit-Check Seven Ltd at its registered office.

Anyone who is unhappy with how their information has been used should contact Fit-Check Seven first so the issue can be investigated. They also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ ↗ or by calling 0303 123 1113.

This notice will be reviewed whenever the website, checkout, providers or business processes change.
